New Chain and Belting Technology for Clean Room Environments
Declaring the strongest and smallest pitch chain in the industry, Intralox® introduces the S550 Micropitch Belt. It can be thoroughly cleaned using mild detergents by hand or with CIP (clean-in-place) spraying procedures. It features exposed rods for enhanced water access and open channels to flush out debris. It is FDA compliant for a variety of food handling applications.
Intralox® also introduces new XT material for their Thermodrive belting line. This positive drive belting has been reformulated for extreme temperatures, load and abrasion, allowing the extremely cleanable belting to be used in freezer (down to -4 degrees F) and oven discharge (up to 160 degrees F) applications.
To meet increasing sanitation demands, Rexnord® has introduced the Series 1010 Mat-Top 1 inch pitch chain. It has a new design with open, accessible hinges with maximum pin exposure and a curved underside that promotes highly effective sanitation and fast drying. It features Microban antimicrobial product potection fused into the plastic in the manufacturing process. The chain is available in blue or white.
Habasit® features a sanitary cleaning solution that includes a new chain design and a new spray system, called the HyCLEAN series. In the new chain design, sprocket teeth are offset in a double row, the sprocket-to-belt contact is minimized. This allows the design to be 100% exposed across the entire belt.
The Habasit® HyCLEAN system has an idle shaft spray bar with special profile sprockets and spray components that allow cleaning the hinge of the chain. The spraying pattern allows access to the entire belt. An outside tube also has nozzles for cleaning the carrying surface of the chain. The system uses low water pressure and warm water to effectively clean the belt which reduces water consumption.
Manufactured by System Plast, this side flexing chain stays positioned with the use of magnetic wear strips. The magnetic chain easily lifts off for quick access to cleaning the inside of the conveyor frame.
